It is with heavy hearts that the El Toro Water District (ETWD) announces the passing of Board Vice President, William “Bill” Kahn on Friday, June 8, 2018 after a long illness. Kahn served the District as a board member for 17 years and board vice president for the last 4 years.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of our friend and colleague Bill Kahn. Bill had a heart for providing moral and ethical public service and was a strong advocate for what was best for the District and its customers. “said ETWD Board President Scott Goldman. “Bill thoughtfully and passionately represented the interests of the District including fiscal responsibility, technology advancement opportunities and the development of ETWD and regional projects such as the Baker Treatment Plant, ETWD Recycled Water Expansion Project and the ETWD Water-Wise Demonstration Garden. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.”
We are grateful for Bill’s dedication, vision and leadership in the water community and his years of service to the El Toro Water District. He will be greatly missed.
