Welcome to the El Toro Water District community. We sincerely hope you are enjoying your new home and the surrounding area.
El Toro Water District (ETWD) is dedicated to providing our customers with a safe, adequate and reliable supply of water and wastewater services in an environmentally and economically responsible way.
Like surrounding water districts, the majority of ETWD’s water supply is imported from the Sacramento Bay Delta in northern California and the Colorado River. Given the scarcity of water in south Orange County, ETWD engages in strategic planning to:
• Develop a diverse portfolio of high quality water resources
• Expand recycled water deliveries for beneficial reuse
• Promote conservation and water use efficiency programs
ETWD vigilantly safeguards the quality of your water supply and delivers water to your home that meets or exceeds the quality standards required by federal and state regulatory agencies. We produce a Water Quality Report each year that provides information about the sources of your water supply and the extensive testing and monitoring programs that ensure the high quality of your water.
If you would like to learn more about ETWD and local water issues, please consider participating in the quarterly meetings of our Community Advisory Group (CAG). The topics discussed at CAG meetings are as diverse as the community we serve and often include: the annual budget, future water supply, water use efficiency practices, regional coordination between local governments, water quality, regulatory and environmental mandates and relative legislative activity. To request an agenda, please contact Polly Welsch at 949-837-7050 x225 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Once again, welcome to the community. If you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service office at 949.837.0660
