El Toro Water District Appoints Fred Adjarian to Fill Vacancy on Board of Directors

Fred AdjarianLake Forest, CA (November 1, 2023) — The El Toro Water District (ETWD) appointed Fred Adjarian to its Board of Directors on September 26, 2023. He fills a vacancy opened after the resignation of former Board of Directors member Jose Vergara who moved out of the District’s service area.

With a highly qualified academic and leadership background, Director Adjarian brings ample expertise to his role as a Board of Director. His educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography Ecosystems from University of California at Los Angeles and a Master’s degree from California State University at Long Beach in Public Policy and Administration.

Director Adjarian’s professional background includes 44 years managing and advising public and private water utilities in California. His experience includes overseeing the rehabilitating aging water infrastructure, working to achieve utility goals and objectives, curating positive professional relationships with legislators and regulatory agencies, and fostering positive business community partnerships.

Director Adjarian previously served on the El Toro Water District Board of Directors from 2014 through 2018.
“Fred’s prior Board service and expertise in water and leadership in the community will benefit the District and customer’s we serve. We are fortunate to have such a qualified community member fill this role” said Board President Kay Havens.

Director Adjarian has also served as an adjunct faculty member and lecturer at university, college and high school campuses throughout southern California.

Director Adjarian is a passionate bibliophile and enjoys learning foreign languages. He has lived in Orange County for 39 years and has resided in Laguna Hills for the last 18 years. Fred is honored to be back on the Board of Directors, serving the customers of the El Toro Water District as a proud citizen leader.
