Welcome
to ETWD
Welcome to the Saddleback Valley area. We sincerely
hope you are enjoying your new home and the surrounding
area.
El Toro Water District imports and distributes all of
your water. The District also maintains a Water Recycling
Plant (WRP) for the collection and treatment of the
waste materials that go down the drain.
Because of the lack of ground water and the |
 |
need to conserve every drop of water that
comes into the area, El Toro Water District operates the
WRP to permit the overflow from it to be used for irrigation
purposes such as golf courses, nurseries and greenbelts.
The outflow from our WRP must meet the requirements of both
the State Health Department and the Santa Ana Regional Water
Quality Control Board. Although our WRP is capable of removing
the organic waste added to the water, it is not capable
of removing the minerals. Therefore, self regenerating (salt
brine) water softeners are prohibited from use in the District.
Water softening can be used, if you so desire, by the use
of centrally recharge units provided on a rental basis by
a soft water rental services.

notice on the following billing. If the account remains
unpaid after an additional 48-hour door hanger notice,
service will be discontinued. Fees are incurred for
hangers and reconnections. |
